Lone Star Creek winery is a brilliant little gem in the upper Yarra Valley, only a short drive from Melbourne.
The vineyard is owned by Robin Wood and Gillian Bowers, who purchased the land in 1997, then planted Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and Shiraz grapes. The wines are made with the assitance of Franco D’Anna (from Hoddles Creek) as winemaker and they’re producing some stella quality wines. Amongst the best value in Australia.
We absolutely love the Pinot Noir, its full of red fruit and berry flavours and very well structured.
